The Nigerian equity market closed today (Wednesday) on a bullish note, extending the gaining streak to two consecutive trading sessions. The positive sentiment was driven by investors’ bargain hunting in all the major sectors led by industrial goods (+1.33%) and banking (+1.25%) sectors. Consequently, the market indicators (NGX-ASI and market capitalization) surged by 0.74%. Similarly, the market breadth closed positively recording 25 gainers against 7 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) grew by 289.25 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.74% to close at 39,170.95 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value gained N150.76billion, representing an increase of 0.74% to close at N20.42 trillion.

CUTIX emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) for today, with a maximum price appreciation of +10.00%, while SOVRENINS emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) with a maximum price depreciation of -3.57%.
