Stock market closes higher, posts 0.35% marginal gain
The Nigeria stock market rallied up by 0.35%. This was driven by gains in NB, DANGFLOUR and 15 other stocks. The market breadth closed negative, recording 17 gainers and 20 losers.

The All Share Index (ASI) gained 108.69 absolute points to represent an increase of 0.35%, to close at 30,745.05 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization increased by N40.53 billion representing a growth of 0.35%, to close at N11.46 trillion.
IKEJAHOTEL & REDSTAREX emerged the top gainers while CHAMPION emerged as the top loser.
The uptrend was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; NB (+5.27%), DANGFLOUR (+3.45%), TRANSCORP (+3.20%), NEM (+2.51%), ACCESS (+1.64%), STANBIC (+1.55%), UBA (+0.70%), FBNH (+0.68%), and GUARANTY (+0.45%).

The Naira at the inter-bank rate remained unchanged to closed at N306.75 against last Friday’s closing price.
The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N362.50, traded high at N364.70 and eventually closed at N362.58, representing a 0.04% appreciation against last Friday’s closing price. A total of $268.34 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 17.77%, representing a 5.91% appreciation against last Friday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate also closed at 16.83% representing a 5.76% appreciation against last Friday’s closing position.
