SEPLAT and 15 others sustains market positive momentum
The Nigeria equity market today sustained yesterday’s positive momentum, gaining 0.67% from 101 traded stocks. The positive sentiment was driven by price appreciation on SEPLAT, NESTLE and 14 others. Conversely, market breadth closed negative, recording 16 gainers against 18 losers.

The All Share Index (ASI) gained by 207.92 absolute points, representing an increase of 0.67%, to close at 31,041.42 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization increased N78.58 billion representing a growth of 0.67%, to close at N11.67 trillion.
IKEJAHOTEL emerged the top gainer while UNIONDAC emerged as the top loser.
The marginal uptrend was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; SEPLAT (+9.26%), NESTLE (+5.48%), CCNN (+4.74%), MOBIL (+4.71%), PZ (+3.16%), UCAP (+1.79%), ACCESS (+1.57%) FBNH (+1.23%) and DANGCEM (+0.53%)

The Naira at the inter-bank rate remain unchanged to closed at N306.95 against yesterday’s closing position.
The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N360.63, traded high at N364.14 and eventually closed at N360.68, representing a 0.03% appreciation against yesterday’s closing position. A total of $202.75 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 10.67%, representing a 0.04% appreciation against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate also closed at 9.86%, representing a 0.21% depreciation against yesterday’s closing position.
