Equity market reversed previous day’s negative sentiment as trading activities closed for today (Thursday) in the green. The positive performance was buoyed by investors’ increased buying interest in some recently depreciated large and medium scale stock prices, such as HONYFLOUR, LINKASSURE, MTNN, and others, as NGX-ASI and Market Capitalization advances by 0.32%. Resultantly, the market breadth closed positively, recording 23 gainers and 16 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) grew by 124.62 absolute points, representing an increase of 0.32%, to close at 39,670.29 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value gained 64.93 billion, representing a rise of 0.32% to close at N20.67 trillion.

NAHCO and NEIMETH emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) for today, with a maximum price appreciation of +10.00%, while NB emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) with a maximum price depreciation of -8.77%.

Today’s market positive performance was driven by price appreciation in large and medium capitalized stocks which are; HONYFLOUR (+9.96%), BOCGAS (+9.90%), PHARMDEKO (+9.79%), LINKASSURE (+8.62%), PRESTIGE (+6.82%), REGALINS (+5.00%), WAPCO (+3.84%), AIICO (+3.16%), MTNN (+2.56%), CUSTODIAN (+2.40%), TRANSCORP (+2.08%), WEMABANK (+1.16%), ACCESS (+1.11%), LIVESTOCK (+1.01%), FBNH (+0.68%), and  ZENITHBANK (+0.21%)
