NSEASI extend positive sentiment to 7 consecutive trading days
Activities in the Nigerian stock market resumed the new trading week , extending the bullish run. The positive performance was majorly driven by the financial services sector among others, making the market breadth to closed positive by recording 41 gainers and 10 losers.

The All Share Index (ASI) gained 251.95 absolute points, representing an increase of 0.80%, to close at 31,781.87 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization increased by N93.96 billion representing a growth of 0.80%, to close at N11.85 trillion.
CADBURY, LASACO & OANDO emerged the top gainers while CILEASING emerged as the top loser.
The uptrend was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; OANDO (+10.00%), TRANSCORP (+9.77%), DANGFLOUR (+9.49%), WEMABANK (+7.04%), ACCESS (+5.26%), UBA (+4.58%), ZENITHBANK (+2.25%), DIAMNONDBNK (+2.13%), STANBIC (+2.13%) FBNH (+1.25%), DANGSUGAR (+1.04%), and GUARANTY (+0.52%).

The Naira at the inter-bank rate remain unchanged to closed at N306.70 against last Friday’s closing price.
The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N361.69, traded high at N363.00 and eventually closed at N361.95, representing a 0.08% depreciation against last Friday’s closing price. A total of $328.47 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 47.50%, representing a 28.08% appreciation against last week closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate also closed at 43.33% representing a 24.67% appreciation against last week closing position.
