Nigerian Equity market reverse previous negative sentiment, gains 0.93%
Transaction activities on the Nigeria equity market reversed the previous day’s negative sentiment, as the market performance indicators gained 0.93% on Monday. The growth was impacted by value appreciation on MTNN, Access bank, Zenith bank and 28 others. Consequently, the market breadth closed positively, recording 31 gainers as against 11 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 233.60 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.93% to close at 25,249.90 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size gained N121.89 million, representing an increase of 0.93% to close at N13.17 trillion.
WAPIC emerged as the top gainer while JAPAULOIL emerged as the top loser.

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N387.46, traded high at N389.75 and eventually closed at N387.33, representing 0.21% depreciation as against Friday’s closing position. A total of $14.66 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 15.42%, representing a 1.28% depreciation as against Friday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate closed at 14.50%, representing a 1.10% depreciation as against Friday’s position.

Consequently, the aggregate volume and value declined by 59.79% and 90.78% respectively, as investors traded a total of 133,450 shares, worth N7.58 million in 7 deal.
