Transaction activities on the Nigerian equity market on Tuesday extend negative performance to seven consecutive trading days, following a 0.35% decline in the market performance indicators. Consequently, the market breadth closed negatively, recording 7 gainers against 23 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) decreased by 101.13 absolute points, representing a dip of 0.35% to close at 28,5432.27 points, Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size lost N52.09 billion, representing a decline of 0.35% to close at N14.65 trillion.
UBN & WAPIC emerged as the top gainers while NEM & ROYALEX emerged as top losers.

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N363.63, traded high at N365.25 and eventually closed at N364.43, representing a 0.07% depreciation as against yesterday’s closing position. A total of $128.03 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 15.33%, representing 2.50% depreciation against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate closed at 14.50%, representing 2.00% depreciation against yesterday’s position.

The NASD OTC market on Tuesday remain unchanged as the Unlisted Securities Index (USI) closed at 697.86. Similarly, Market Capitalization closed at N501.79 billion to remained flat as against yesterday’s position. However, the aggregate volume and value increased by 37.98% and 619.02% respectively, as investors traded a total of 43,740 volume of shares valued at N12.57 million in 11 deals.
