The Nigerian equity market closed transaction for today (Tuesday) on a negative note to halt the five consecutive days gaining streak, as CBN holds the MPR rate (11.50%), Asymmetric corridor (+100/-700bps), cash reserve ratio (27.50%), and Liquidity Ratio (30.00%) constant as well. The downturn was due to investors’ sell-off sentiment in some Bellwether stocks, as we await the release of more Half Year result of listed companies. However, the market breadth closed at par, recording 20 gainers as against 20 losers.
