The Nigeria equity market on today (Thursday) closed on a positive note with a growth of 1.40%, halting the previous negative momentum of four consecutive trading days. The upturn was supported by value appreciation on some big-name stocks like DANGCEM, MTNN, ACCESS and 8 others. However, the market breadth closed at par, recording 11 gainers as against 11 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 338.74 absolute points, representing a growth of 1.40% to close at 24,512.27 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size increased by N176.71 billion, representing an increase of 1.40% to close at N12.79 trillion
DANGCEM emerged as the top gainer while NEIMETH emerged as the top loser.
The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; DANGCEM (+10.00%), FBNH (+1.01%), MTNN (+0.84%) and ACCESS (+0.81%).
