MTNN, 17 others sustains equity market uptrend
Trading activities of the Nigerian stock market sustained the positive sentiment to four successive trading sessions, following the price appreciation on MTNN, Presco and 16 other. However, the market breadth closed positively, recording 18 gainers as against 19 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 24.53 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.10% to close at 25,407.96 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size gained N12.80 million, representing an increase of 0.10% to close at N13.25 trillion.
NNEIMETH emerged as the top gainers while PZ emerged as the top loser.
The uptrend was impacted by gains recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; PRESCO (+9.04%), ETI (+7.77%), TRANSCORP (+2.74%), STANBIC (+2.15%), MTNN (+1.29%), and FBNH (+0.92%)

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N387.50, traded high at N389.99 and eventually closed at N386.33, representing 0.22% depreciation as against yesterday’s closing position. A total of $24.64 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 2.70%, representing a 0.05% depreciation as against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate closed at 2.00%, to remain unchanged as against yesterday’s position.

The NASD OTC market on Wednesday closed on a negative sentiment as the Unlisted Securities Index (USI) declined by 1.14% closed at 685.81, as against previous day’s closing position. Similarly, Market Capitalization lost N5.81 billion closed at N503.77 billion. The aggregate volume dipped by 91.68%, while the value grew by 25.92% as investors traded a total of 127,091 shares, worth N33.10 million in 5 deal.
