Transactions on the Custom street closed  for today (Monday) on a positive note, as NGX-ASI increased by 2.93%.The positive performance was buoyed by investors’ increased buying appetite in some Large and medium capitalized stocks such as MTNN, AIRTELAFRI, UNILEVER, and others, as investor’s wealth grew by  N643 billion. Furthermore, the market breadth closed positively recording 25 gainers as against 13 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) grew by 1232.37absolute points, representing a rise of 2.93%, to close at 43,246.87 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value increased by N643.14billion, representing a rise of 2.93% to close at N22.57 trillion. 

AIRTELAFRI emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) with a price appreciation of +10.00%, while CONOIL emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) for today, with a price depreciation of -9.80%.

Today’s market positive performance was driven by price appreciation in large and medium capitalized stocks which are; AIRTELAFRI (+10.00%), REDSTAREX (+9.94%), CUTIX (+9.91%), MTNN (+9.62%), UNILEVER +9.36%), UCAP (+3.80%), CHIPLC (+3.39%), NGXGROUP (+3.38%),  CILEASING (+3.26%), ETI (+2.96%), COURTVILLE (+2.56%), NEIMETH (+2.27%), FBNH (+2.56%), WAPCO (+1.96%), GUINNESS (+1.63%), WEMABANK (+1.14%), OANDO (+0.83%), and NAHCO (+0.58%).
