Market near no gain as NSEASI dips for the 5th consecutive trading session in the year.
Activities in the Nigeria equity market continued to dip further, shedding 1.20%. This was driven by losses in the banking and insurance sectors. Market breadth closed negative, recording 12 gainers against 28 losers.

The All Share Index (ASI) shed 364.13 absolute points, representing a decrease of 1.20%, closing at 30,036.15 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization shed N135.79 billion representing a dip of 1.20%, closing at N11.20 trillion.
JOHNHOLT emerged the top gainer while NEM emerged the top loser.
The dip was impacted by losses recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; FLOURMILL (-8.63%), OANDO (-7.69%), GUARANTY (-5.26%), UBA (-5.19%), ZENITHBANK (-4.69%), FBNH (-4.67%), DANGFLOUR (-4.24%), DIAMONDBANK (-4.04%), DANGSUGAR (-2.50%), and INTERBREW (-1.59%).

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N365.10, traded high at N366.75 and eventually closed at N365.87, representing a 0.05% depreciation against yesterday’s closing price. A total of $113.23 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 27.25%, representing a 0.75% depreciation against Monday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate also closed at 25.00% representing a 0.83% depreciation against Monday’s closing position.
