Market Cap Hits Record High of 17 trillion as Bullish Sentiment Persist on Lagos Custom Street
Trading activities on the Nigerian Stock Market today (Tuesday) closed on a positive note, extending the previous gaining streak to three successive sessions. This came as 39 stocks recorded price appreciation, thereby lifting the Market Capitalization value to a record high of 17 trillion. Consequently, market breadth closed positively, recording 39 gainers as against 11 losers.
NSE Trading Floor
In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) gained 404.05 absolute points, representing an increase of 1.25% to close at 32,647.10 points. Likewise, the overall Market Capitalization value also gained N211.13 billion, representing an increase of 1.25% to close at N17.059 trillion.
CADBURY, GLAXOSMITH, and NEIMETH emerged joint top-gainers for today with a maximum gain of 10%, while ABCTRANS emerged top of the losers’ chart with a -8.82% price depreciation.
Other notable gainers today are; NASCON (+9.96%), NNFM (+9.92%), OANDO (+9.76%), TRNASCORP (+9.68%), WAPIC (+9.52%), JAPAULOIL (+8.33%) DANGSUGAR (+7.18%), ARDOVA (+7.06%), MANSARD (+5.77%), STANBIC (+4.35%), and MTNN (+4.06%).
