Investors loose N92.03 billion as negative sentiment returns
The Nigeria Equity market resumed the trading week on a bearish note, posting 0.82% loss. The loss was impacted by sell-off in all sectors of the market. Market breadth closed negative, recording 14 gainers and 25 losers.

In summary, the All Share Index (ASI) was down by 252.09 absolute points, representing a decline of 0.82%, closing at 30,614.73 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization increased by N92.03 billion representing a decrease of 0.82%, closing at N11.18 trillion.
LIVESTOCK emerged the top gainer while TRANSEXPR emerged the top loser.
The downturn was impacted by loses recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; HONYFLOUR (-4.35%), NESTLE (-4.13%), OANDO (-2.19%), NB (-2.50%), ZENITHBANK (-2.12%), WEMABANK (-1.82%), STANBIC (-1.08%), FLOURMILL (-0.99%), TRANSCORP (-0.88%), FBNH (-0.66%) and GUARANTY (-0.43%).

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N364.34, traded high at N366.50 and eventually closed at N365.03, representing a 0.08% appreciation against Friday’s closing price. A total of $332.24 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight (O/N) rate closed at 41.58%, representing a 15.50% appreciation against Friday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate also closed at 39.17% representing a 14.83% appreciation against Friday’s closing position.
