Investors Gain N19.11 Billion, as Bulls Returns to Lagos Customs Street

The Nigerian domestic market closed trading activities for today (Tuesday) in the green, as the local bourse bounced back from the previous day’s trading session loss. Today’s positive outturn was due to investors’  buying interest in recently depreciated stock prices in industrial, consumer goods and oil&gas sectors, as NGX-ASI advanced by 0.09%. Furthermore,  the market breadth closed positively, recording 10 gainers as against 31 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) grew by 36.60 absolute points, representing an increase of 0.09%, to close at 42,013.39 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value gained N19.11 billion, representing a rise of 0.09% to close at N21.93 trillion

INTBREW emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) with a price appreciation of +9.62%, while UACN emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) for today, with a price depreciation of -9.73%.

Today’s market positive performance was driven by price appreciation in large and medium capitalized stocks which are; INTBREW(+9.62%), LINKASSURE(+8.33%), CHAMS (+4.35%), OANDO(+4.09%), CORNERST(+3.51%), BUACEMENT(+3.47%), JAIZBANK(+3.23%), CHAMPION(+1.41%), AND DANGSUGAR(+0.99%)

Crude oil 28102021The WTI crude depreciated by $1.99 to $82.66 on Wednesday (28/10/2021) from $84.65 on Tuesday (27/10/2021), representing a decrease of 2.35%, and the Brent Crude depreciated by $0.21 to $83.66 on Wednesday (28/10/2021) from $83.87 on Tuesday (27/10/2021), representing a decrease of 0.25%. Also,  the Bonny Light depreciated by $1.16 to $83.05 on Wednesday (28/10/2021) from $84.21 on Tuesday (27/10/2021) representing a decrease of 1.38%
