Insurance sector and others push NSEASI to 0.58% gain.
The Nigeria stock market sustained its bullish run to four consecutive trading sessions. Today’s performance was impacted by gains in all sectors lead by Insurance and Industrial good sectors. Market breadth closed at positive, recording 21 gainers and 13 losers.
NSE Trading Floor
The All Share Index (ASI) went up by 172.74 absolute points, representing an increase of 0.58%, closing at 30, 137.53 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization increased by N64.42 billion representing a growth of 0.58%, closing at N11.24 trillion.
CCNN emerged the top gainer while AIRSERVICE emerged the top loser.
The uptrend was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; OANDO (+5.81%), DANGSUGAR (+3.93%), STANBIC (+2.93%), ACCESS (+2.65%), FBNH (+1.35%), and ZENITHBANK (+0.69%).

The Naira at the inter-bank rate remained unchanged at N306.85 against Monday’s closing price.
The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N364.20, traded high at N365.60 and eventually closed at N363.61, representing a 0.19% appreciation against yesterday’s closing price. A total of $148.67 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 24.17%, representing a 11.08% depreciation against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate also closed at 21.67% representing a 10.00% depreciation against yesterday’s closing position.
