Industrial and Consumer Goods Sectors Sustain Positive Sentiment as Equity Market Marginally Gains By 0.02%

The local bourse closed transactions for today (Friday) on a positive note, extending the gaining streak to two trading sessions. The market performance was due to investors’ appetite for recently depreciated bellwether stocks like WAPCO, GTCO, ZENITHBANK, and 10 others as NGX-ASI advanced marginally by 0.02%. However, the market breadth closed negatively, recording  16 losers as against 13 gainers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) grew by 8.82 absolute points, representing an increase of 0.02%, to close at 39,261.01 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value gained 4.59 billion, representing a growth of 0.02% to close at N20.46 trillion.

NEIMETH emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) for today, with a price appreciation of +7.57%, while MBENEFIT emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) with a price depreciation of -9.68%.
