Guinness,Total,Cadbury And 29 Others Push Domestic Market To Close The Week In The Green

The Nigerian equity market closed trading activities for today (Friday) in the green , as the NGX-ASI  appreciates by 0.18%. The positive sentiment was due to investors’ buy interest in bellwether stocks such as Guinness, Total, Cadbury and 29 others.Similarly, the market breadth closed positively recording 32 gainers as against 19 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) grew by 77.46 absolute points, representing a rise of 0.18%, to close at 42,038.60 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value rose by N40.42 billion, representing an increase of 0.18% to close at N21.94 trillion

GUINNESS emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) with a price appreciation of +10.00%, while REGALINS emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) for today, with a price depreciation of -9.76%.

Today’s market positive performance was driven by price appreciation in large and medium capitalized stocks which are; GUINNESS(+10.00%), CUSTODIAN(+9.74%), AIICO(+9.73%), UPL(+9.60%), WEMABANK(+9.46%) TOTAL(+9.45%), NEIMETH(+8.38%), CADBURY(+7.39%), VITAFOAM(+5.71%), BERGER(+5.06%),TRANSCORP(+1.90%),UBA(+1.18%),FIDELITYBANK(+1.09%),ZENITHBANK(+0.80%),ACCESS(+0.53%),MANSARD(+0.43%), GTCO(+0.35%)  AND  WAPCO(+5.47%).

Nigeria’s foreign reserve appreciated by $22.23 million to $41.83 billion on (28/10/2021) from $41.81 billion on (27/10/2021).

 

Crude oil 28102021The WTI crude depreciated by $1.99 to $82.66 on Wednesday (28/10/2021) from $84.65 on Tuesday (27/10/2021), representing a decrease of 2.35%, and the Brent Crude depreciated by $0.21 to $83.66 on Wednesday (28/10/2021) from $83.87 on Tuesday (27/10/2021), representing a decrease of 0.25%. Also,  the Bonny Light depreciated by $1.16 to $83.05 on Wednesday (28/10/2021) from $84.21 on Tuesday (27/10/2021) representing a decrease of 1.38%
