Gains in Insurance and Industrial Sectors Unable to Offset Market Negative Sentiment as NGX-ASI shed 0.15%

Transactions on Customs street closed the first trading session of the week on a negative note as profit-taking dominated all the major sectors except Insurance (+1.93%) and Industrial (+0.11%) sectors. Consequently, NGX-ASI decreased by 0.15%. Similarly, the market breadth closed negatively recording 31 losers as against 20 gainers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) declined by 61.81 absolute points, representing a decrease of 0.15%, to close at 41,976.79 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value lost  N32.26 billion, representing a drop of 0.15% to close at N21.91 trillion

FIDSON emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) with a price appreciation of +9.92%, while ETERNA emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) for today, with a price depreciation of -9.94%.
