Financial Service and Oil & Gas Sectors Sustain Local Bourse Positive Sentiment

Local Bourse today (Tuesday) closed transactions on a positive note to extend the bullish sentiment to two consecutive days, as NGX-ASI advanced by 0.69%. The price appreciation was buoyed by investors’ buy-sentiment in some Financial Services and Oil & Gas sectors. Consequently, the market breadth closed positively, recording 20 gainers as against 15 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) grew by 271.84 absolute points, representing an increase of 0.69%, to close at 39,448.46 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value gained  141.63 billion, representing an increase of 0.69% to close at N20.55 trillion.

PHARMDEKO emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) for today, with a maximum price appreciation of +9.71%, while FTNCOCOA emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) with a maximum price depreciation of -8.89%.
