The All Share Index (ASI) shed 149.49 absolute points, representing a decrease of 0.48%, to close at 31,210.79 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization lost N55.75billion representing a decline of 0.48%, to close at N11.64trillion.
MCNICHOLS emerged the top gainer while LEARNAFRICA emerged as the top loser.
The downtrend was impacted by losses recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; ETERNA (-8.33%), MAYBAKER (-2.92%), FCMB (-2.00%), FBNH(-1.20%), DANGCEM(-1.04%), FIDELITY(-0.91%), ZENITHBANK(-0.89%), GUARANTY(-0.84%), ACCESS (-0.83%), UCAP(-0.66%) and NESTLE (-0.32%).

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N360.57, traded high at N361.35 and eventually closed at N360.36, representing a 0.02% depreciation against yesterdays closing position. A total of $307.48 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 11.58%, representing a 1.58% appreciation against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate also closed at 10.67%, representing a 1.25% appreciation against yesterday’s closing position.
