The Equity market began the new week shedding 0.26% and halting previous four trading days bullish run. The market breadth closed negative, recording 10 gainers and 30 losers.

The All Share Index (ASI) declined by 82.39 absolute points, representing a decrease of 0.26%, to close at 31,344.24 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization decrease by N30.73 billion representing a decline of 0.26%, to close at N11.69 trillion.
NPF MICROFINANCE BANK emerged the top gainers while BERGER emerged the top loser.
The decline was impacted by losses recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; FIDELITYBK (-5.60%), DANGFLOUR (-4.62%), SEPLAT (-3.70%), ACCESS (-2.31%), HONYFLOUR (-1.52%), DANGSUGAR (-1.38%), DIAMONDBNK (-1.30%) GUARANTY (-0.72%), and FBNH (-0.65%).

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N362.88, traded high at N364.00 and eventually closed at N362.75, representing a 0.08% depreciation against yesterday’s closing price. A total of $283.36million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 17.31%, representing a 4.31% appreciation against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate also closed at 16.07% representing a 3.99% appreciation against yesterday’s closing position.
