Equity market posts marginal decline as NSE-ASI shed 0.005%
The Nigerian equity market closed the last day of the week with a very marginal decline of 0.005%, following moderate price depreciation on Dangcem, MTNN and 11 others. However, the market breadth closed positively, recording 18 gainers as against 13 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) decreased by 1.11 absolute points, representing a marginal decline of 0.005% to close at 23,871.33 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size lost N580 million, representing a dip of 0.005% to close at N12.44 trillion.
STANBIC emerged as the top gainer while CILEASING emerged as the top loser.
The downturn was impacted by losses recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; FCMB (-4.44%), OANDO (-3.21%), DANGCEM (-1.71%), GUINNESS (-1.69%), WAPCO (-0.93%), ACCESS (-0.79%) and MTNN (-0.45%).

The Naira at the official window on Thursday closed unchanged at 361.00/$1, against yesterday’s position.
The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N387.10, traded high at N401.95 and eventually closed at N386.00, representing a 0.15% appreciation as against yesterday’s closing position. A total of $44.87 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 3.42%, representing a 0.98% depreciation against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate closed at 2.75%, representing a 0.85% depreciation against yesterday’s position.

NASD OTC MARKET
The NASD OTC market on Friday closed higher as the Unlisted Securities Index (USI) grew by 0.79% to close at 693.94, as against yesterday’s closing position. Similarly, Market Capitalization gained N3.99 billion to close at N509.75 billion. The aggregate volume increased by 29.97% while the aggregate value declined 58.51%, as investors traded a total of 19,625 shares, worth N1.69 million in 5 deal.
