Equity Market Extends Yesterday’s Losses, Sheds 0.01%

The Equity Market on Thursday was bearish, shedding 0.12% to extend downtrend to two consecutive days. Similarly, market breadth closed negative, recording 14 gainers against 26 losers.

In summary, the All Share Index (ASI) shed 2.90 absolute points, representing a decline of 0.01% to close at 40,752.83 points.  However, the Market Capitalization gained N49.46 billion, representing a growth of 0.34% to close at N14.77 trillion.

The downturn was impacted by losses recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; FBNH (-3.69%), HONYFLOUR (-2.81%), UBA (-1.73%), FIDELITY (-1.59%), and DANGFLOUR (-1.41%), MOBIL (-1.16%), FO (-0.31%), DANGSUGAR (-0.24%) and ZENITH (-0.18%).
