Equity market bounces back from a day sell-off by 0.40%
Transaction activities of the Nigerian stock market bounced back from previous day sell-off with 0.40% gain, following price appreciation on Buacement, Dangcem and 12 others stocks. However, the market breadth closed negatively, recording 14 gainers as against 20 losers.
NSE Trading Floor
In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 101.81 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.402% to close at 25,267.82 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size gained N53.06 million, representing a dip of 0.40% to close at N13.17 trillion.
MANSARD emerged as the top gainer while LEARNAFRCA emerged as the top loser.
The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; CADBURY (+8.13%), BUACEMENT (+7.69%), OANDO (+6.06%), FLOURMILL (+5.00%), and DANGCEM (+0.36%)

FOREIGN EXCHANGE
The Naira at the official window on Thursday closed unchanged at 361.00/$1, against yesterday’s position.
The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N387.25, traded high at N389.99 and eventually closed at N386.33, to remain unchanged as against yesterday’s closing position. A total of $22.65 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
MONEY MARKET
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 3.00%, representing a 0.42% depreciation against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate closed at 2.20%, representing a 0.47% depreciation as against yesterday’s position.

NASD OTC MARKET
The NASD OTC market on Friday closed positively to sustain the previous day’s positive sentiment as the Unlisted Securities Index (USI) grew by 0.10% closed at 691.46, as against yesterday’s closing position. Similarly, Market Capitalization gained N520 million closed at N507.92 billion. However, the aggregate volume and value declined by 99.90%, and 97.90% respectively as investors traded a total of 164,900 shares, worth N48.78 million in 8 deal.
