Local Bourse closed market activities for today on a negative note, to reverse previous days’ gain. The negative outturn was buoyed by investors’ sell-off sentiment in the Consumer goods sector, which recorded a decline of 0.72%. Hence, the ASI and Market Capitalization was down by +0.01%. However, the market breadth closed positively, recording 18 gainers as against 16 losers.

In summary. the All-Share Index (ASI) declined by 5.65 absolute points, representing a marginal dip of 0.01%, to close at 37,866.9 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value shed N2.94 billion, representing a decrease of 0.01% to close at N19.72 trillion.

SOVRENINS emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) for today, with a maximum price appreciation of +10.00 while IKEJAHOTEL emerged as a  top loser (by percentage points) with a maximum price depreciation of -9.29%.
