Bull reign on Nigerian custom street for the eight successive sessions

Trading activities on the Nigerian Custom street today (Tuesday) sustained the recent bullish momentum, as investors’ wealth further appreciated by N54.41 billion. Today’s gain extends the market gaining streak to eight successive trading sessions and was driven by price appreciation in WEMABANK, AIICO, AFRIPRUD, BUACEMENT, and 12 others. Similarly, market breadth closed positively, with 16 gainers as against 11 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 104.12 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.39% to close at 26,611.96 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size gained N54.41 billion, representing an increase of 0.39% to close at N13.91 trillion.

WEMABANK emerged top of the gainers’ chart, while ETRANZACT tops the losers’ chart.

The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; WEMABANK (+7.55%), AIICO (+6.33%), AFRIPRUD (+4.00%), BUACEMENT (+3.34%), DANGSUGAR (+1.63%), ZENITH (+1.16%), MTNN (+0.79%), MTNN (+2.02%), SEPLAT (+0.50%), and GAURANTY (+0.19%).

 The NASD OTC market today (Tuesday) closed on a positive note, as the Unlisted Securities Index (USI) rose by 0.35% to close at 735.65 points, from yesterday’s closing position of 733.11 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization gained N1.87 billion to close at N540.39 billion, representing a 0.35% increase from the previous closing position. Similarly, aggregate volume and value increased by 5,835.55% and 11,199.04% respectively, as investors traded a total of 2,213,010 shares, worth N472.61 million in 13 deals.
