The Nigeria equity market on Tuesday sustained the previous day’s positive sentiment as investors’ wealth grew by N44 billion, form gains on Buacement, Dangsugar, and 11 others. Conversely, the market breadth closed negatively, recording 13 gainers as against 22 losers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 85.25 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.34% to close at 25,335.15 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size gained N44.44 million, representing an increase of 0.34% to close at N13.22 trillion.
MBENEFIT emerged as the top gainer while MOBIL emerged as the top loser.
The uptrend was impacted by gains recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; BUACEMENT (+4.10%), DANGSUGAR (+2.75%), OANDO (+1.85%), HONYFLOUR (+1.02%), UBA (+0.74%), and VITAFOAM (+0.18%).

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N385.95, traded high at N389.75 and eventually closed at N387.08, representing 0.06% appreciation as against yesterday’s closing position. A total of $14.66 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 15.42%, to remain unchanged as against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate closed at 14.50%, to remain unchanged as against yesterday’s position.

The NASD OTC market on Tuesday closed negatively to sustain the bearish sentiment to three consecutive trading sessions, as the Unlisted Securities Index (USI) decline by 0.99% closed at 682.49, as against previous day’s closing position. Similarly, Market Capitalization lost N5 billion to closed at N501.34 billion. However, the aggregate volume and value grew by 24.62% and 495.55% respectively, as investors traded a total of 166,300 shares, worth N45.15 million in 4 deal.
