Trading activities on Custom Street for today (Wednesday) closed on a negative note, taking the trading losses to the third consecutive day. The negative sentiment was driven by investors’ profit-taking sentiments in the banking and consumer goods sectors. Consequently, NGX-ASI declined by 0.05%. Furthermore, the market breadth closed negatively, recording 17 losers as against 13 gainers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) shed 21.16 absolute points, representing a decrease of 0.05%, to close at 38,852.69 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value lost N11 billion, representing a drop of 0.05% to close at N20.24 trillion.

TRANSCOHOT emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) for today, with a price appreciation of 10.00% while VERITASKAP emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) with a price depreciation of -8.70%
