Trading activities for today (Wednesday) closed on a negative note, halting the three days’ gaining trend, as NGX-ASI declines by 0.15%. The negative downturn was buoyed by sell off sentiments in all sectors except the consumer goods sector . Furthermore, the market breadth closed negatively recording 19 losers as against 18 gainers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) decreased by 23.25 absolute points, representing a fall of 0.15%, to close at 43,707.30 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization value dropped by N12.13 billion, representing a decline of 0.15% to close at N22.81 trillion. 

NEIMETH emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) with a price appreciation of +10.00%, while REDSTAREX emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) for today, with a price depreciation of -9.86%.
