The Nigeria equity market today (Wednesday) closed on a positive note with a growth of 0.06%, to halt the previous day negative sentiment, following value appreciation on some bellwether stocks like AIRTELAFRI, DANGSUGAR, ACCESS and 8 other. However, the market breadth closed on a negative note, recording 15 losers as against 11 gainers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 15.67 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.06% to close at 24,130.26 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size gained N8.18 billion, representing an increase of 0.07% to close at N12.59 trillion as a result of the listing of Tranzact International Plc Rights Issue of 4.67 billion Ordinary Shares of 50 Kobo Each at N1.50 Per Share on the Basis of Ten (10) New Ordinary Shares for Every Nine (9) Ordinary Shares.
SUNUASSUR emerged as the top gainer while JBERGER emerged as the top loser.
The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; DANGSUGAR (+5.17%), AIRTELAFRI (+3.44%), GUARANTY (+0.94%) and ACCESS (+0.82%).
