17 Stocks Halts Negative Sentiment of Previous Four Trading Sessions
Activities in the Nigeria Equity Market today took a positive direction, as the performance index (ASI) rose by 0.21% to halt the negative sentiment of previous four trading sessions. Consequently, market breadth closed positive, recording 17 gainers against 15 losers.

The All Share Index (ASI) gained 63.26 absolute points, representing an increase of 0.21% to close at 29,616.38 points. Similarly, Market Capitalization increased by N23.76 billion representing a growth of 0.21% to close at N11.12 trillion.
FIRSTALUM emerged the top gainer while ABCTRANS emerged as the top losers.
The up was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; DANGFLOUR (+6.88%), AFRIPRUD (+5.92%), FCMB (+5.71%), UBN (+5.26%), CADBURY (+5.00%),CCNN (+4.94%), ACCESS (+1.79%) TRANSCORP (+1.75%), and DANSUGAR (+1.09%).

The Naira at the inter-bank rate remain unchanged to closed at N307.00 against yesterday’s closing position.
The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N360.25, traded high at N361.50 and eventually closed at N360.33, representing a 0.01% depreciation against yesterday’s closing position. A total of $119.00 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 16.14%, representing an 4.71% depreciation against yesterday’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate also closed at 15.29%, representing an 4.43% depreciation against yesterday’s closing position.
